Roots in the Path

I love this image from the path to Douglas Falls. The extensive exposed roots and the path and the beebalm are evocative of how it feels to travel through the woods. If you look closely you can see that I included my kids who sometimes consent to hike with me.

This image has also served as inspiration for poets through the Wombwell Rainbow’s Ekphrasitc Challenge where poets were provided daily images to base their poetic efforts on.
